What it is
NoRisk Client is a Minecraft client and launcher, free to use and shaped by the players who use it. In its own words: "More performance, more features, shaped by the players who use it."
It covers both halves of playing Minecraft. The launcher handles accounts, versions and mods. The client adds what you see in game: a HUD editor with more than 20 modules, over 300 cosmetics and free custom capes, a friends list with one-click joining and in-game messages, and hosted worlds that let you open a singleplayer world to friends without setting up a server.
What I work on
I work across the whole product: the backend, the in-game client and the launcher.
The launcher
The launcher is open source under GPL-3.0. It is built with Tauri, with a Rust core and a React interface, and grew out of a fork of LiquidLauncher. It keeps a separate profile for every version, with its own mods, settings and worlds, and installs mods from Modrinth and CurseForge through a single search. The interface can be tuned with an accent colour, corner style and labels.
It runs on Windows, macOS (Intel and Apple Silicon) and Linux, and is also published on Flathub.
Where it stands
NoRisk Client supports Minecraft from the current release back to 1.8.9, on Fabric, NeoForge and Forge depending on the version. On 4 November 2026 the site counted 38,453 players in the previous 24 hours.
